A cabinet run that meets a blind corner wall cabinet needs a filler so door handles don t hit. When finished installing them note the gap between the wall and the side of the cabinet. Secure the strip to the cabinet with screws. Check the width of the piece mark and cut the cabinet side if you need to or use a plane for minor adjustments.

Most often fillers are used vertically at the side of a cabinet but they can also be used horizontally as crown molding risers or trim. Filler strips are placed beside the leftmost or rightmost cabinets between the wall and cabinet. Drill a pair of 1 8 in 3 2 mm holes from the cabinet s frame to the filler strip. The cabinet run needs 1 2 filler at wall but more if clearance is needed for roll out shelves.

A base cabinet run that meets a wall needs a filler so the door can open more than 90 degrees and a roll out shelf will not collide with it. Fillers are sold in 3 and 6 widths and various lengths.
